RINGO STARR - A STARR IS BORN - 4-CD-SET 2 Cs + 2 DVDs

Ringo BOX containing the so sough after STORY TELLERS VH1 SHOW, UPGRADED AND REMASTERED, please be aware that this show was never released in DVD format,
it only exists in VHS format and the last VHS's that exist are being sold at Amazon for an exorbitant price, this is indeed and ultra rare item, and this is only the first of four discs in this BOX, so get ready for the thrill! You also have the VIDEO MIX of the VH1 on audio CD, warmer, crisper, sooo much better than the official Mercury release, which all of you know is cropped, incomplete and the quality suffers from a lot of hiss and compression, even some songs came out incomplete, let alone the dialogues (which are Ringo at his best). Another disc with the Barbara Walters show, THE VIEW, Ringo is on fire on this show, and performs even YELLOW SUBMARINE........ and much much more,

Ringo Starr VH1 Storytellers
Unedited Complete Footage

VH1 Storytellers is a live album by Ringo Starr recorded and released for the popular music program in 1998. Unlike his previous live recordings,
this release places Starr in an intimate environment where - as per the show's requirement - he tells the genesis of the songs being performed.

Recorded a month before the release of Starr's new studio album Vertical Man - and performed in promotion for it, VH1 Storytellers features Starr's
contemporary musical collaborator Mark Hudson (who produced this set) and Starr's current band, dubbed "The Roundheads". Aside from songs that appeared
on Vertical Man, much of the set is devoted to Starr's Beatles and early solo successes with Starr relating their stories in a relaxed, and sometimes
humorous, fashion.

This marked the last time a Ringo Starr album was released on a pre-recorded cassette in the United States according to journalist Peter Palmiere.
However, some countries in the Far East still issue cassettes of recent Ringo Starr material including "Ringo Rama", "Choose Love" and "Photograph:
The Very Best of Ringo Starr".

Released that October, VH1 Storytellers stands as a unique release in Ringo Starr's recorded catalogue. Although it failed to chart anywhere,
it was well-received critically.

Ringo Starr
The View - New York, NY
Broadcast Date: 6-17-98

Excellent television appearance by Ringo. In this video,
Ringo plays the perfect guest in an early episode of
The View. The show starts off with Ringo and his band
singing "La De Da" off his new cd "Vertical Man". He
then joins Barbara Walters for a one-on-one interview.
The rest of the co-hosts - Joy Behar, Star Jones, Merideth
Vieira and Debbie Matenopoulos join the conversation.
After some audience Q & A, Ringo performs a great
rendition "Photograph". The show closes out with
everyone singing "A Little Help From My Friends". This
is truly a joy to watch.
